Happy Christmas Eve! Truthfully, there are so many things I love about Christmas. Getting to spend time with my loved ones. Having a well deserved break from the pressures of work. The unmistakable magic and sparkle in the air. But, it has to be said that one of my very favorite parts of Christmas is a never ending supply of reasons to dress up! And if I can find a way to be a veritable Christmas tree, well that makes my holiday season even merrier…
I make no secret about my love of novelty. I’ve been on the hunt for a perfect novelty Christmas-themed skirt for awhile. As is generally the case with most vintage, this just requires patience. And lo and behold, this beauty popped up on one of my favorite vintage groups on FB, Ooh La La – I quickly pulled the trigger and my Christmas wish was granted! Ohhhhh this skirt. Done in true poodle skirt fashion, with a full circle skirt made out of a snowy white, heavy felt and embellished with a Christmas tree, complete with ornaments and garland and presents waiting to be opened on Christmas morning.
Like snowflakes, may Christmas memories gather and dance –

We’re having an amazing time in San Diego for the holidays – there’s just something about the actual physical separation from our normal day to day that instantly puts me into relaxation mode. We’ve been catching up with old friends, eating way too much, and frequenting some of our favorite haunts. The family time coupled with endless sunny days stretching into the next are definitely going to make it hard to leave.
Mr. Dressed and his family do their gift-giving on Christmas Eve, so we’re gearing up for our big celebration tonight, followed by a big Christmas dinner tomorrow. Whatever your traditions, I hope you are with people you love and enjoying all of the sparkle the holidays have to offer. This has definitely been a tough year for a lot of people (myself included), but for all of the ups and downs and tough spots in between, I am endlessly grateful for this space to call my own and for each of you that visit and make it so special.
