Ahhhh sweet friends, that magical time of year is upon us. When we hear the crinkle of wrapping paper to the tune of “All I Want For Christmas”, while sneaking spiked eggnog and trying to keep the cat from eating the fake tree (and vomiting it up a few minutes later). But, most importantly: It’s time for my annual Lust List: Christmas Edition!
That magical time of year is upon us, where you start to hear sleigh bells off in the distance and your streets are alive with twinkle lights and cheer. Is also means the semester is winding down (talk about cheer!) and we start to bid farewell to another year.
It’s hard to believe it, but it’s that time of year again. This has been such a strange year in so many respects…but one thing that will never change: time just keeps on moving forward. I barely blinked and here we were, at the dawn of December again.
It’s that time of year again, when all of the turkey leftovers have dwindled and Christmas is in full swing! Although most stores here in NC have had Christmas decorations up before Halloween, the holiday spirit doesn’t kick in for me until after Thanksgiving. Mr. Dressed and I spent last Friday in our pajamas, chomping on leftovers and starting to get cracking on our Christmas shopping!

Well, the rumors are true: Kara’s Annual Closet Cleanout has come around the mountain again! Now that we’re starting to see summer in our rear view, I decided it was time to give the ol’ closet a refresh. Well, it’s official. The turkey has been cooked and the thanks have been said – in my world that means it’s officially Christmas! And the minute the calendar shifts, all of the Christmas pretties start dancing in front of my eyes and hence, my Christmas Wishlist is born.
One of my all time favorite posts that I do on occasion here on the blog is where I turn the spotlight on one of my favorite vintage shops. I always think it’s important to support small businesses – and knowing what goes into sourcing vintage (from the endless searches and estate sales, to the cleaning and mending, to the photography and promotion), I appreciate these entrepreneurial rockstars all the more. They keep our vintage-loving closets stocked and happy and that is no small task…
Ohhh I just love this time of year! The weather is crisp, the egg nog starts flowing, and all of my favorite shops start to glitter with items to add to my wishlist.
