Yeah, so that thing happened again. You know, where you blink for a second and an entire month has gone by. Where you catch yourself saying, “I can’t believe we’re in March already!” and some kindly person has to pat your arm gently and say, “Ummm…sweetie? Yeah, it’s April.” Oh dear….
The good news is, despite my apparent inability to track time or notice what’s happening around me, that Spring has officially sprung! While I was lost in a sea of lectures and lab prep, the entire city has started to bloom. This will be our first Spring in Wilmington (let’s face it, we’re in for a year of firsts), but we’ve already started to revel in the perfect weather and perfumed air. A gal could seriously get used to this…
So, to celebrate the onset of Spring in all her glory, I’ve put together my favorite looks over the last two months – for full outfit details, feel free to check out the original blog post.

I‘m not sure there are adequate words to describe how excited I am that April is here. That I am so close to surviving my first semester of teaching, my first semester in my new job, and our first season in a new country. There are a lot of things to be happy about – being able to actually get back to my hobbies (my poor sewing machine has been gathering dust), getting to bed before midnight because I’m not frantically prepping a lecture for the next day, and getting to remember what my husband looks like.
But most of all, I’m excited to get to a milestone where I will know, once and for all, that I can do this. That it wasn’t a fluke that I was given this job. That I have knowledge to pass on to the next generation of scientists. And most of all, that the best is yet to come…
So, let’s do this April. Let’s get it done.
xoxo
