Well folks, it’s upon us once again. I can hardly believe how old my baby is getting, but The Dressed Aesthetic has officially turned 3! It’s crazy to think I’ve been clamoring away on these keys for three whole years, but every time I get to yet another milestone, I’m overwhelmed by gratitude for all of you who make my little corner of the internet possible.
In addition to being TDA’s birthday, today is actually my birthday too (sound of trumpets and a handful of confetti!!) It’s a pretty insane week at work, so I’m putting my birthday on hold until tomorrow. But, that doesn’t mean that you have to wait for the celebrations!
To celebrate this auspicious occasion, I’ve partnered with vintage treasure trove Etsy to get you all, dear readers, a present! As a follower of this blog, you are no doubt aware of my love (read: obsession) with vintage, most of which have sailed into my vintage loving arms from one of my favorite Etsy shops. Ohhhh the hours Etsy and I have spent together, gazing admiringly at many a 1950’s dress. To celebrate all that I love about vintage, one lucky reader will win a $100 Gift Card to spend at any participating shop on Etsy!
RULES: To enter, use the Rafflecopter widget below – you must be following Etsy (@Etsy) and The Dressed Aesthetic (@dressedapp) on Instagram to be eligible to win. You get one free entry per day and can also have additional entries by subscribing to my newsletter and following each of us on our various social media pages. The contest will run for 1 week and will end on Thursday 22nd March 2018 at midnight EST – winners will be announced here on the blog.
Thank you so much to Etsy for sponsoring this giveaway – and to you all for being a part of what makes The Dressed Aesthetic so special!
I‘m not sure that when I started this adventure did I realize that I would still be at it three years later – or that it would be the place that would keep me going through overseas moves and loss of dear friends. Thanks to each of you, this is the place where I can be completely myself. Where I can share my excitement over a new vintage dress, get on my soapbox about the current political state of affairs, and be vulnerable. It’s like the friend I can call at 3am. Always answers, never judges, and is unconditionally, unwaveringly present.
The truth is, starting a blog is easy. Maintaining it is where the hard work lives. And no matter what craziness has been happening, or what deadlines I had to meet, this space has never felt like a chore. Not once in 3 years. As I was saying to my best friend the other day, I will surely keep doing this as long as I enjoy it. As long as there is vintage to share and gardens to twirl in and ladies out there who need reminding that they are worth all of the beautiful dresses.
I will keep doing this as long as you are out there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
xoxo
