I’ve spent the last month and a half skipping around the States (and racking up a fair number of air miles – woot!). Despite loving my time in each city, the hardest part of travel is always the amount of time spent languishing in airports. I’ve definitely noticed over the past few years, however, that free wifi is all the rage. Thus, enter my favorite pastime: Online shopping.
With all of those layovers, this month’s Lust List took on a life of its own. I ended up with over 400 items bookmarked, which wouldn’t be possible to acquire even if Midas himself decided I was a worthy investment. However, a wishlist isn’t necessarily always for acquiring, but for dreaming…
For My Castle
There’s a part of me that is so drawn to steampunk, particularly old school technology in modern times. This clock just slays me…
Mr. Dressed and I have a collection of glass bottles we used to store some of our favorite liquors. Yet, I don’t yet have any that are fish shaped….
This vintage vanity tray reminds me a little of one my mom used to have…
I dream of filling a house someday with midcentury furniture (I also dream of one day being rich so as to afford said midcentury furniture). I’m so drawn to these bucket lounge chairs.
For My Closet
Every time I see this dress (and yes, I keep visiting her) I start to drool…
In love with this novelty handkerchief print skirt…
We’ve got a Perth Pinup Vintage Prom coming up….Would this cotton candy pink embroidered dress be perfect or what?
I love details that look organic. The pockets on this dress have me swooning.
I’m completely obsessed with Melissa flats…these cuties may have to be the next addition to my shoe-drobe.
This cactus print dress looks so easy and perfect for a garden party.
The leaf detail on the collar and cuffs of this shirt is so simply stunning, I’m a bit speechless.
Ahhhh! Embroidered roses? Organza skirt? Tailored bodice? Yes yes, a thousand times yes to this dress!
The perfect sundress with it’s perfect matching bolero makes it wishlist ready.
For Some Arm Candy
I love vintage vanity cases, and these vintage-inspired handbags are the cutest shape!
Ummm mice? Having a BBQ? On a handbag??? ‘Nough said…
I’m slowly growing my collection of Midas of Miami bags. If I randomly get a nice pot of cash, this one will fit in with the others nicely.
So out of my price range, but this Mary Frances taxi bag is everything a novelty handbag should be and then some.
For Some Sparkle
I have quite a few true vintage celluloid necklaces – and this shop makes the most amazing vintage-inspired pieces (like this berry necklace) that are such a stunning approximation of original vintage.
I love these brooches! The hardest is picking one. Teacups, martini, or godzilla – which would you choose?
Where jewelry meets gardening – a wearable planter!
There is definitely an element of fantasy to this month’s Lust List – though I think we all can do with a bit of escapism now and then. The only danger is imagining how I might style some of these items, which tricks me into believing I already own them…
If an empty wallet is getting you down and leaving your wishlist fantasies unfulfilled, don’t forget that there’s only two days left to enter my giveaway to win up to $150 to spend at Nicole Elaine Vintage! Read all about the details and enter to win on the post: The #vintagegeneration.
Happy dreaming!
xoxo
