Lust List #4: Crazy for Comestibles

I have an odd obsession with food-themed clothing and accessories – fruit in particular. For whatever reason, I’m utterly charmed by a strawberry print, a cherry necklace, a fruit-appliquéd bag. Given the plethora of delectable items I’ve come across over the past few weeks, I can at least take comfort in the fact that I’m not alone in my love of consumable-inspired fashion.

Lust List #3: Under the Sea

Given my love of the ocean, my simultaneous attraction to ocean-themed items should come as no surprise. Over the years, family members often gifted me all things shark. While I’ve grown away from the novelty t-shirts and figurines for the most part, I still love a bit (okay, a lot) of fishy goodness in my life. If you saw this post, you know I have plenty of undersea paraphernalia lurking in my wardrobe and this girl didn’t even break a sweat when tasked with styling my homemade shark dress.

Spotlight On: Capsule Vintage

Once every month or so, I’m turning the Spotlight On some of my favorite vintage treasure troves – both local and online – and give you a bit of insight into the shop owners and their curation process (see last month’s feature here). Today’s spotlight is on one of my very favorite etsy shops: Capsule Vintage. The Lust List #2

Because it was so popular last month, I’ve decided to continue sharing my current Lust List (you can see last month’s list here). Whether I’m standing in line to get my coffee, unwinding at the end of the day, or trying to coax my eyelids open in the morning, there are always beautiful things to peruse. I suppose that’s the wonderment (and the curse, according to my Visa card) that is the internet…

The Lust List #1

We all have ways to unwind. One of the biggest for me is lazily perusing all of the beautiful things I’d like to just appear in my closet. The things I would love to jump onto my walls. I am certainly not secretive about my love for things from bygone days, so it won’t surprise you that my most favorite place to get lost is always on Etsy. To flip through the clickable racks and imagine what life would look like perched upon the perfect midcentury sofa. To drool over gauzy chiffon and wonder if my evenings would take on a sepia tone…

Spotlight On: La Belle Vintage

Calling all vintage lovers! I’m always getting requests for vintage store recommendations, so I wanted to start a “Spotlight On” feature on the blog, where I introduce you to some of my very favorite vintage haunts. At the very least, when people ask me “Where on EARTH do you find these dresses?” I can point them here! I thought I would get the ball rolling by introducing you to La Belle Vintage, which is literally a treasure trove of vintage confections that will make your heart sing and your Visa card quiver…
