A few weeks back I had my annual closet clearout. It’s always such a good feeling to pass on things you no longer wear to fellow vintage-lovers who can be another chapter in their story. But, as my husband always says, it’s not really a closet clearout. It’s really a “Make Room for New Dresses.” He clearly doesn’t know me at all…
True to form, no sooner had the last parcel been dropped off at the post office than I suddenly spied so many beauties floating around the interwebs, tempting me with their full skirts. Their novelty prints. Their glitter. But, as I tend to rationalize…now I have all of this extra room in my wardrobe…
For My Castle
If I were a bird, I know where I’d want to live…
How amazing is this matched set of vintage perfume jars?
For My Closet
Ohhh the single butterfly embellishment on this dress is just amazing
I have this beauty in orange and it’s an absolute favorite. Might be time to meet her blue-toned sister….
Too tiny in the waist for me…but how absolutely amazing is this star studded skirt??
Love love love – from the puff sleeves to the border print, this dress is perfection
Actually dying over the back of this dress. Hurry up payday!
For Some Arm Candy
I’m loving these works-of-literature turned handbags!
One never knows when they might have to attend a ball, and it helps to have the perfect gloves on hand
For My Tootsies
Make them sparkle and make them mine!
I swear, I want all of the B.A.I.T. shoes…but these might be next on my list.
Hmmm…how are these flats not already in my closet??
For Some Sparkle
I feel that there’s just something about vintage jewelry. Maybe mores than dresses, a special piece of jewelry comes with a story of a fairytale night. Of where she wore it. Who she wore it with. Or if she simply wore it to please herself.
Everyone’s always asking me where I find my belts. Truth is, no one particular place. But when I see one like this, I simply must pounce…
Ahhh there are too many beautiful things out there… Some days, I want them all. And others, I get joy out of simply smiling at them from afar, imagining the wardrobes they’ll en d up in and the adventures they’ll get to have.
Right, time to stop window shopping and time to get back to work. I have new students starting in a few weeks and am busily trying to get the lab prepped: lab coats to order, dissection kits to buy, microscopes to polish. Okay, except for that last one….
What about you – Had your eye on anything lately??
