That magical time of year is upon us, where you start to hear sleigh bells off in the distance and your streets are alive with twinkle lights and cheer. Is also means the semester is winding down (talk about cheer!) and we start to bid farewell to another year.
With things slowly ticking off my To Do list, I realized it was time to put together my annual Christmas Lust List – full of the pretties I’ve been ogling in my daily perusals and Christmas shopping. Mr Dressed and I have a “don’t shop for ourselves” agreement come December 1st, so I’ve definitely spotted more than a few things to drool over, but have willfully resisted.
So, grab a mug of cocoa and strap on that Christmas cheer. Ladies and gents, meet my Christmas 2021 wishlist!
To Deck the Halls
If there’s one thing I love, it’s coffee. And since I’m really not conscious until at least 2 cups in, I need the largest cups possible in my life….
I’ve been noticing more and more that my jewelry organization system needs work. I reach for the same five pieces on rotation, because they’re the ones I see. Now, imagine if I could see them all at once….
Speaking of organization, I also tend to live in fear of losing rings and smaller pieces (I also have a cat with a proclivity to knock shiny things off my dresser). An organizing dish might be just what Santa ordered
I don’t know what it is about Christmas lights, but they just remind me of being a kid and feeling the magic of Christmas. Now, if those Christmas lights are branch shaped, I see no reason why I can’t have them in my life year round.
Don’t you just love the opulence of the 1940’s and 1950’s? I love that this was a woman’s compact, in all of its glittery and rhinestone encrusted extravagance.
For a White Christmas
More than a little out of my price range, but HOLY SANTA is this one good….
I mean, can you imagine a more perfect skirt for me than a FISH SKIRT? I cannot….
I’ve got a thing for scenic prints, and this skirt reminds me of a hazy sunrise just as we’re heading out for a morning on the lake…
My Lust List would be incomplete without my namesake dress. Ahhh this one in pink reminds me of Aurora (and please tell Santa I am all for gift cards to Stephanie’s shop! Her pieces are handmade and worth waiting for!)
Never have I ever seen a more perfect beret than this powered blue one speckled with orange and white koi! It would go perfectly with my goldfish skirt….
I don’t veer to reproduction super often, but I would definitely make an exception for this rose-speckled beauty.
I just love a good Pat Premo – those godet inserts have me swooning!
In keeping with the fishy theme – how cute would this hand-embroidered fish Tee be with just about everything in my closet???
There is just something about one shouldered vintage dresses that are just that little bit of extra…
Instead of Snow Boots
I love me a bit of glitz and glam, and the soft gold of these heels is perfect for day or night.
Ahhhh you can never go wrong with Melissas – these flats are simply magical. I just love that pop of blue.
I’ve completely fallen in love with Lola Ramona heels this year – I kind of love that these black and white cuties are both naughty and nice…
To Replace Santa’s Sack
Given I am obsessed with all things fruit related and made a grapes-themed skirt this year, doesn’t this bag look like it should already be in my closet?
For a splurge and a bit of Christmas sparkle, this lucite bag is perfection (plus it’s 10% off with code “wildrose” – how can Santa resist??).
I have always had a thing for vintage basket bags – and I love that this cutie is navy.
I’ve always wanted a vintage umbrella purse – so perfect in its oddity.
Mary Frances bags always require saving my pennies for, but ohhh how I drool from a far. This one has a story literally leaping of the sartorial pages.
You know I’m all about the cute – this pink love heart purse is adorable!
To Trim the Tree
Tell me, what’s Christmas without a little (or a lot of) sparkle? It’s amazing hard to find green rhinestone pieces, and this one is especially stunning.
Clearly I have a fish obsession. But how amazing is this fish swimming upstream bracelet?
I find this bubble necklace so charming and whimsical – I might need to make a sudsy skirt to go with it!
You all know my obsession with fruit jewelry. No other explanation required….
Roses in December sounds pretty perfect to me – as does having this stunning carved rose necklace around my neck this season.
Start with sparkle, end with sparkle. This piece is perfection….
Things over here have been pretty crazy since December kicked off. I’m trying desperately to wrap up the semester (and we’re at that point where it feels like I’ll never stop grading) and take a bit of down time. We’ve also been spending the last couple of weeks trying to wrap up our own Christmas shopping and get it all done and dusted and in the post before various shipping deadlines.
But, we’ve also been getting our Christmas on – listening to holiday tunes, putting up the lights, and taking in the magic of a city that starts to sparkle.
I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season. May Santa bring what I hope we are all wishing for – an end to 2021 and a happy, healthy 2022 where we all get vaccinated already!
Oh please Santa…
xoxo
