Leser is More

Leser Is More - The Dressed Aesthetic

In truth, I’ve always been the kind of person who likes the hustle and bustle. Although I relish my alone time, I have to admit I love the buzz of a busy restaurant or walking around a city thriving with energy. And I’m so much more productive when I have 12 things to do – when there’s just one task on my To Do list, there’s too much room for procrastination.

But, as the bustle of this semester is coming to a close, I have to admit that my entire being breathes a sigh of relief. With only my final exam to sit tomorrow (and grade), I can feel myself melting into summer, where the pace slows and there are fewer demands on my time. Although there will always be tasks demanding attention, I might be coming around to this idea of having only a few things to do. That maybe someone was onto something when they said less is more...

In the madness of the semester, there have been a lot of Kara projects that I’ve been neglecting. My sewing pile has been glaring at me from the corner since January (although my I’m stupid proud of my Garden of Eden dress. I may not be able to shut up about it for awhile). I have definitely had several new (to me) pieces waiting patiently to be photographed and welcomed to these cyber pages. But, each weekend seems to have disappeared in a flurry of catching up from the week before or prepping for the week ahead.

Case in point, I’ve had this Tina Leser beauty for several months now. She flew all the way into my waiting arms from Deerfield Vintage in Australia. And she only needed a quick nip and tuck before she was ready for her debut – but this particular nip and tuck took about 6 months for me to get to! But it was absolutely worth it. This is a print that has been on my wishlist for years –  I have seen that it comes in multiple colorways and may not sleep until I’ve secured them all. Or at least one or two more.

Cause you know, Leser is more….
