Ahhhh sweet friends, that magical time of year is upon us. When we hear the crinkle of wrapping paper to the tune of “All I Want For Christmas”, while sneaking spiked eggnog and trying to keep the cat from eating the fake tree (and vomiting it up a few minutes later). But, most importantly: It’s time for my annual Lust List: Christmas Edition!
As has become a yearly challenge for myself, I managed to somehow get the majority of my holiday shopping done the last week of Thanksgiving (thank you Black Friday/Cyber Monday, which has really turned into Deals-All-Week). And amidst the clicking and purchasing, I also managed to find some time to browse and drool and favorite some beauties popping up on my radar that I’m hoping will appear under my own tree this year.
So, with a bit of sparkly snow and fanfare, here are some things I’ve been wishing for….
To Deck the Halls
A gal can never have too many candles, amiright?
After hosting my family for Thanksgiving, one thing became very clear: I need more serving bowls!
If you’ve been following my IG, you know the sewing madness continues, and I’m always on the lookout for new challenges. I’d love to give this pattern a whirl….
For a White Christmas
Although this one is a bit on the tiny side, it’s a quick fix to make this my skirt of dreams. What a stunner!
Can you imagine how perfect this dress would be with some pops of red?
I’m a gal who LOVES color in winter, and Jenny Dame’s pieces are always magical.
The Pretty Dress Company makes the BEST dresses, and I find the UK 10 fits me perfectly (and is long enough in the bodice – hoorah!). I can’t decide if I want to go evening or day…perhaps both? (hey, it’s 30% off with code FRIDAY30)
What’s better around the holidays than a candy cane dress?
Nothing says Christmas like vintage. I have this skirt in a red color way, but am just as in love with the blue…
Ohhhh I can see the MAGIC in this dress.
Wow. This Koret of California has my heart….
I love a good sparkly bustier – this one in pewter or soft pink would be divine.
When I was a kid I was more than a little into the Care Bears (I think I had Share Bear). Sarsparilly has landed into full on nostalgia with their latest collection and I am HERE for this skirt.
You guys know I have been sewing like a crazy person lately – how cute would this fabric be in a skirt??
Instead of Snow Boots
You guys know my love of all things under the sea – how cute are these shoes??
B.A.I.T. Footwear is truly having the BEST sale right now (and miraculously my size 9’s are still in stock!). Love myself a bit of green glitter….
But some blue patent leather never goes amiss either…
A short while back, Mr. Dressed and I took a trip to Asheville. I tried on these heels and somehow didn’t leave the store with them. What was I thinking??
To me, shoes should be a party for your feet. I swear every pair that Re-Mix makes look like a raucous gathering. These red heels are sumptuous…
To Replace Santa’s Sack
Ahhh just hand me some rhinestones and point me to the orange grove. I could design an entire skirt around this bag…
I will always and forever be drawn to all things under the sea (even when they are well outside of the budget)
Something about the shape of this bag is so very Jackie O’…
I am dead. This bag has slayed me.
I love lucite bags that are molded into curved shapes. My wallet doesn’t like them, but man are they stunning…
To Trim the Tree
It’s just not Christmas without a little sparkle….
As you’ve noticed from recent sewing projects, I love monarch butterflies – these hairpins would be a perfect addition to my accessories drawer.
There is something about this necklace that fascinates me – I just know it has a good story to tell….
I love jewelry that has a little wink. Or, in this case, a smooch….
Is there any better style of jewelry than art deco?
As much as this post is about things on my wishlist, what I am most looking forward to this Christmas is taking a break from all the things and spending time with family. Drinking mulled wine and getting to hug my mom for the first time in 3 years. Watching the city come alive with twinkle lights, with a bit more cheer than usual.
However you are spending the holidays this year, may you be exactly where you want to be, doing exactly what you want. And may Santa bring you something extra special, to remind you that you are worth all of the beautiful things.
Lots of love and Christmas cookies.
xoxo
