It’s that time of year where it feels as if we’re barreling towards Christmas at lightening speed. What is it about the end of September that turns my eyes towards the next year already? I want to put on the brakes – I have way too much 2015 business to attend to before 2016 starts beckoning me towards her. I have, however, made the time for one of my very favorite blog features…
Given that my heart already feels it’s Christmas season, I’ve been trying to start my Christmas shopping early (who are we kidding, I’m starting my Christmas wishlist making early!) I’m convincing myself that by doing so, I’m making it far easier for my friends and family to shop for me. Ahhhh the lies we tell ourselves to justify our online window shopping…
So, with a bit of glitter thrown into the air, here’s a roundup of the latest pretties from the interwebs I’m lusting after!
For the Home
I’m not sure I could ever use it to serve actual food, but this 1930’s dish is just stunning…
So….Sushi wrapping paper? Yum!
These stunning vintage jars might bring out my hidden apothecary…
And I love everything about this cabbage leaf bowl – perfect for a bright summer salad.
It doesn’t get more 60’s or more fabulous than this decanter set.
I’d never be late, late, for a very important date with this clock.
For the Closet
Ohhh for the love of a good border print, please get in my closet! This dress…swoon!
Sadly too small for me, but how cute are those appliquéd roses and inset panels under the scallop hem of this dress??
I’m in love with all things fruit and clothing that resembles anything organic (trees, sea life, an eye purse anyone?). This bolero stole my strawberry-loving heart the minute I saw her.
The neckline on this novelty print 50’s dress is amazing.
The inset triangle panels on this dress are so figure flattering… Plus, she’s kind of sassy and sweet, my favorite combination.
I think I desperately need this puffer fish skirt…
Loving the gorgeous watercolor print on this 50’s dress. Also loving her necklace – maybe this one would suffice?
I am in LOVE with corset dresses (as you also saw from this post) – they cinch you in all the right places!
Ohhhh introducing the world’s most perfect cashmere cardigan!
I saw this bolero when I was browsing through Lindsey’s wishlist a few weeks back and thought it was so elegant…
Ohhh this dress is like walking on a cloud at twilight… (in other words, I freakin’ love it)
For South of My Ankles
I’m completely in love with this season’s Miss L Fire collection. These heels take the cake… (I’ve seen them in black too!)
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes to these strappy sandals!
Ummm..because RED GLITTER!!
I just love that these ballet flats are handmade…and adorable to boot!
I’m such a sucker for mint + red + polka dots! These cuties have them all.
For Some Arm Candy
OMG, it’s a vintage parasol purse! Wouldn’t this be the absolute cutest with some flowers or a fruit clip pinned to the side?
I swear I don’t go always searching for them, but the vintage fruit basket purses always seem to find me…
I have a growing collection of vintage box bags, but the birds and ornate handle on this beauty make it truly special.
Can you ever have too many strawberry bags? I don’t think so…
Just Because
These winking patches would be so cute on each side of a peter pan collar top, doncha think?
I love pop color belts, and one that does double duty as a headband is perfect in my book!
My new iPhone DOES need a new case… (this one and this one are also pretty amazing)
I’ve always loved vintage chatty glasses – the sky blue color of this pair is just dreamy.
I’m not a big hat person, but every so often one catches your eye. This one may convert me that I just might be a hat person after all…
Ahhh j’adore vintage celluloid necklaces. And I’d pair it with this dress. Ahhh a match made in heaven…
Now, while I’d much rather be browsing pretty things all day, I’m hard at work preparing for a conference presentation I’m giving tomorrow. This is the first conference in awhile I haven’t had to hop on a plane to attend, which has definitely simplified the process. But, despite the shorter travel distance, the talk still requires completion!
So, should you be spending the day browsing beautiful vintage, just know I’ll be living vicariously. To help feed the addiction by proxy, please do let me know if you scoop any of these beauties up – I’d love to see how you style them!
xoxo
