There is nothing more important than self-care. After the kind of semester I’ve just had (and let’s face it, the kind of 2 years we’ve all just had), I’m looking for it more than ever. And self care can take a variety of forms: either spending some time to yourself getting lost in a good book, heading to the beach for a girl’s weekend, or a splurge on the cutest new handbag range from Vendula London.
I‘ve made no secret of my love for novelty handbags – despite my overflowing wardrobe (with an actual ingenious shower-rod-meets-handbag-holder contraption my husband and I constructed along one wall), I simply can’t resist the extra bit of cute Vendula injects into every one. Couple that with my desperate need for a mani-pedi, and the Post Paws Spa Grab Bag had me faster than you could say “Spa Day.”
It is truly my favorite Day when Vendula gets in touch to get my thoughts on their latest range. Not only do I know I can count on them for exceptional quality and unparalleled charm, but they manage to keep surprising me. The Posh Paws Spa range was no exception – they scrimp neither on quality nor on whimsey.
One of my favorite of the Vendula styles are the Grab Bags – they’re meant to look like mini shop fronts and are always overflowing with cute details. The Posh Paws Spa Grab Bag was similar to my other grab bags in being 23cm high x 26cm wide x 10cm depth (just the right size to hook over your arm and still hold all the things). Made out of an embossed vegan leather, the front window peers into a luxurious spa (complete with pooch indulging in some serious pampering on her chaise). My favorite parts are always in the details – the glittery trim on the windows, the 3D potted plant outside, the cute thatched roof, with a scalloped sparkly shingle print (which looked adorably like fish scales to me, which is 100% my vibe). Vendula even started making matching mini charms you can get to match your bags – Posh Paws Spa Mini Shopfront Charm works as the cutest little coin purse, with a printed version of the shopfront on the larger grab bag.
One of the reasons why I keep coming back to the grab bag style is the structure. It’s got a really sturdy frame (I don’t think I’m alone in hating bags that kind of collapse into themselves?). The interior is seriously roomy, with multiple inner open and zipped pockets to hold all the things. Because I live in iHouse, I’m always especially happy when an inner pocket is big enough to safety tuck away my iPhone.
I always feel like I’m gushing when I review these bags – but it’s truly because there isn’t a single thing I would change. Just hook it over your arm and get ready for the compliments…

Vendula also ship worldwide and have free delivery options to USA, Canada, & Australia for orders over $170. Shipping to and from the US these days has been a bit of a question mark, but mine got here in just under 3 weeks from order to delivery, which is pretty standard at the moment (and nothing to do with Vendula, who shipped promptly). But, trust me when I say these bags are worth the wait. My order came beautifully packaged in a striped pink Vendula box, complete with dust bag to protect my new perfect handbag.
In another form of life imitating art, I am off shortly to my own spa weekend, with this bag perched appropriately on my arm. I’m heading to meet my sister and niece for a Spa Weekend in the Chesapeake Bay. So, if it’s a bit quiet around here you’ll know I’m likely lounging in a plush robe with cucumber slices over my eyes.
