I think we’re all trying to get more versatility out of our wardrobe – to figure out new ways to mix and match what we have and make it look new again. This isn’t always the easiest task when you’re as into bright colors, bold prints, and novelty handbags as I am – it’s kind of obvious when you wear those things several times. But enter the latest range of handbags from Vendula London

It’s no secret that my closet is chock full of handbags approximating all manner of fruit, coffee trucks, and baskets. The more whimsical the better, I never veer towards what is expected when it comes to my arm candy. As many of you know from previous posts, I am always enamored with the latest ranges offered by Vendula London each season – a handbag company known for making amazing vegan-friendly novelty bags of all shapes and sizes, from storefronts to love boats.

So, when we discussed giving their latest Charm range a whirl, I was really excited. With four base options (in coral, lemon yellow, mocha, and gingham) and a range of charms to use from, the combinations are endless….

I opted for the Small Vendula Charm Handbag with Scalloped Edges in blue & white gingham with the set of 4 picnic charms. Although I was pretty smitten with the yellow polka dotted cutie too, I’ve just got a thing for gingham. As I’m still holding onto the last dredges of summer with an iron grip, I need a handbag that smacks of summertime picnics and ice cold glasses of lemonade.

The Small charm bag is what I consider to be the perfect size – 18.5cm (H) x 26cm (W) x 10cm (D), with one main compartment inside that has a zipped closure, plus one inside zipped pocket and two inside open pockets. It comes with a detachable blue strap in addition to the handles. Although I’ve always been more of a handbag-over-the-elbow than a crossbody kind of gal, it’s nice to have the options. The bag (and the charms) are all made of a high quality vegan leather (in fact, all of their products are vegan certified by the Vegetarian and Vegan British Society, which is pretty awesome).

As with every bag I’ve ever gotten from Vendula, this is of impeccable quality. I LOVE the details they put into their handbags – the scalloped edges are so sweet, with perfect stitching along every seam. I also was completely smitten with these picnic charms – you guys know my obsession with food-themed anything, and I loved the option to use the bag as is, as a cute blue gingham tote, or to attach the charms along the front flap for a bit more color.  You can hook on one or more and mix and match to your heart’s content – talk about a bag that can do double, triple, or quadruple duty!

I have to say, the details on the picnic charms are AMAZING. They include a sandwich, piece of pie, strawberry jam, and glass of lemonade (aka. the perfect picnic). The colors of the charms really popped against the blue gingham, and each piece is incredible in it’s whimsey, from the cucumber peaking out of the sandwich to the the rhinestone ice cubes in my lemonade.

The Small Vendula Charm Handbag with Scalloped Edges in blue & white gingham retails for $128 and the set of 4 picnic charms is $56.40, both available on the Vendula London website. I love that I can buy additional sets of charms to change the look of this bag – I definitely have my eye on the Dolce Vita and Cocktails next, which I think would both be adorable paired with the blue gingham.

To put the extra piece of cherry pie into your picnic basket, Vendula is offering a coupon code to my readers! Use the code KARA2018 between now and 30th September 2018 to get 10% off your purchase of a Charm bag & set of charms (T&C’s: You will need to create and be logged in into your account before applying this code). If you’ve never shopped with them before, Vendula London ship worldwide.  I also noticed they have lower shipping costs and even free delivery options to USA, Canada, & Australia for orders over $250.

In planning for the week, I decided this was going to be my official Back to School outfit. Yesterday was the our first day of school, but today is my first day of classes (at the ungodly hour of 8am). As someone who derives power from her accessories (Wonder Woman and I definitely have that in common), this was the perfect bag to have on my arm as I strolled into the classroom.

Cause if I can’t charm them, at least my handbag can…

xoxo
